President Kennedy on his dictaphone, c. 1960
“Things do not happen; things are made to happen.”

Jacqueline Kennedy during the early stages of the White House restoration period.
I’ve always loved this particular look; youthful and elegant, and a playful hairstyle that is still chic.
At a formal banquet given by Prime Minister Nehru, Jackie wore a classic cut sheath gown done in a pearlescent white silk peau d’ange. The floor-length form-fitting column narrowed to the body and featured a squared neckline. The pinafore back was dramatic, with a sweeping panel forming a train. The wide shoulder straps were accented with bows, and she accessorised the gown by wearing her signature long white kid gloves. Jackie loved this dress because it had form and function; the panel could be moved aside as she was seated, and when she was standing or moving the panel swept behind her, regal and uncreased. c. 1962.

I just found out that hulu has like every episode of Green Acres available for streaming…I know how I am spending my evenings for the next week! :)
I’ve been watching Bewitched lately, and when I paused last night to take a phone call, I caught this gem— when Darren first learns that his daughter, Tabitha, is a witch. :)
