I wish this photo wasn’t so faded because this dress was a gorgeous shade of yellow, and the detail was what really made this dress stand out to me…I love buttons & bows!
One of my most favourite outfits and photos of the greatest First Lady there ever was…
Jacqueline in Greece wearing a simple and sophisticated denim blue dress. I wish I could show you the back of this dress and how cute it is with the medium sized buttons down the back!

The epitome of a Lady
Perfectly lovely.

Jackie accompanied the President to Fort Worth. c. 1963
Jackie wore a modified Raja coat created especially for her trip to India by designer Oleg Cassini. The coat was made of dupioni silk and featured a rounded modified military collar. Here she is visiting Gandhi’s memorial with Ambassador Galbraith. c. 1962.
At an awards ceremony for astronaut Cooper on May 21, Jackie brought John Jr. along. She wore one of her favourite dresses; a silk and sleeveless dress. Empire in feeling, this dress had detailing on the bodice and was accented by a signature bow in the middle that cinched the waist, and the skirt fell in an A-line shape.
c. 1963.
At a formal banquet given by Prime Minister Nehru, Jackie wore a classic cut sheath gown done in a pearlescent white silk peau d’ange. The floor-length form-fitting column narrowed to the body and featured a squared neckline. The pinafore back was dramatic, with a sweeping panel forming a train. The wide shoulder straps were accented with bows, and she accessorised the gown by wearing her signature long white kid gloves. Jackie loved this dress because it had form and function; the panel could be moved aside as she was seated, and when she was standing or moving the panel swept behind her, regal and uncreased. c. 1962.
Channeling my icon, Jacqueline Kennedy, Halloween 2011.
This was my loose interpretation of an outfit she wore during her trip to France c. 1962.
Jackie greets the President of Finland, Urbo Kekkonen, on 16 October 1961 at Andrews Air Force base.
This was a very popular dress of Jackie’s, and it’s one that I would love to have in my wardrobe. I love the the three buttons down the front and the simple, modified cowl neck (though the details are difficult to see in this photo), and I love the simplicity of it. The leather belt at the waist is a nice touch and gives it more shape, which I also love.
I would like to just say “thank you” for liking and re-blogging all of my Kennedy posts lately. I apologise for the extensive text that follows them, but I’ve been trying to excercise my knowledge of the Kennedys to prepare myself for my deam job of working at the JFK Library & Museum next year. Hope you all enjoy— I welcome any critiques, comments, and questions! :)A beautiful portrait of Jacqueline Kennedy that was done by her close friend and best loved fashion designer, Oleg Cassini. It’s stunning and beautiful, just like Jackie.
In Vienna, at a state banquet at Schoenbrunn Palace, Jackie is simply glowing in her full-length sheath gown which featured very simple lines, a rounded bateau neckline, an easy waist with a double side-tied bow, and a narrowed skirt that flared slightly at the hem.
Jackie created quite an impression on Premier Khrushchev, who insisted on sitting next to her during the musical entertainment after dinner. c. 1961.
While visiting her sister, Lee and her husband in London, Jackie wore this black sheath, cut out at the back and banded with a little bow across the middle.
This is one of my most favourite dresses that Jackie had from designer Oleg Cassini. I wish that I had a better photo of it, but you get the general idea. It’s so sexy and chic while still being playful and innocent. Best little black dress I’ve ever seen! ;)
