I wish this photo wasn’t so faded because this dress was a gorgeous shade of yellow, and the detail was what really made this dress stand out to me…I love buttons & bows!
One of my most favourite outfits and photos of the greatest First Lady there ever was…
Jacqueline in Greece wearing a simple and sophisticated denim blue dress. I wish I could show you the back of this dress and how cute it is with the medium sized buttons down the back!
Jacqueline and her sister, Lee Radziwill, in a howdah in the courtyard of the fortress palace at Amber, Jaipur, India.
The artist, Jacqueline Kennedy.

Happy Easter!

Jacqueline Kennedy during the early stages of the White House restoration period.
I’ve always loved this particular look; youthful and elegant, and a playful hairstyle that is still chic.
A dress in pale yellow silk shantung was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy during an elephant ride in Jaipur, India, March 19, 1962. During a two-day holiday as the guests of the Maharaja and Maharani of Jaipur, Jacqueline Kennedy met with members of the Peace Corps and later was joined by her sister for an elephant ride on the grounds of the Amber Palace.
The dress featured cap sleeves with a slit opening at the neckline and a 3 inch wide band around a fitted waist with a balloon skirt.
Perfect fancy summer dress!

The epitome of a Lady
Perfectly lovely.

I currently have this in my possession, and since Charlie brought me some medicine and I’m finally feeling better, I’m going to have a listen on our surround sound and close my eyes…maybe it will almost be as if I were in the room with them. :)
PS thanks Charlie!
On Valentine’s Day at the White House, Jackie posed with twin girls for the Heart Drive in a narrow Nattier pink wool suit with a gorgeous rounded, overlapping cowl collar that closed asymmetrically. The skirt eased at the waistline and was shaped with inseam pockets. c. 1961.
I want this suit so badly! It’s a gorgeous warm pink colour and I love the style of the cowl neck and of course, those big covered buttons! Can I also just gush over the fact that the skirt had pockets? I LOVE skirts/dresses with pockets!

Jackie wore a modified Raja coat created especially for her trip to India by designer Oleg Cassini. The coat was made of dupioni silk and featured a rounded modified military collar. Here she is visiting Gandhi’s memorial with Ambassador Galbraith. c. 1962.
At an awards ceremony for astronaut Cooper on May 21, Jackie brought John Jr. along. She wore one of her favourite dresses; a silk and sleeveless dress. Empire in feeling, this dress had detailing on the bodice and was accented by a signature bow in the middle that cinched the waist, and the skirt fell in an A-line shape.
