In Vienna, at a state banquet at Schoenbrunn Palace, Jackie is simply glowing in her full-length sheath gown which featured very simple lines, a rounded bateau neckline, an easy waist with a double side-tied bow, and a narrowed skirt that flared slightly at the hem.
Jackie created quite an impression on Premier Khrushchev, who insisted on sitting next to her during the musical entertainment after dinner. c. 1961.

At an evening reception for the President of Tunisia, Jackie wore a yellow one-shouldered “Nefertiti” gown.  The full-length gown was gathered at one shoulder in the ancient Egyptian fashion.  The fabric fell to a side drape, was trimmed with embroidery and brilliants, and accented with a signature bow at the waistline. c. 1961.
FUN FACT: When Oleg created this design for Jackie, she loved it, but she was convinced that Jack wouldn’t let her wear it. Oleg went to the President and explained:
“From the dawn of antiquity, the queen or high priestess has always set the style.  That is her role in society, to be a little advanced and thus admired by her people.  You know how valuable Mrs. Kennedy has been to you in that regard.  In this particular case, I am proposing nothing outrageous or undignified; indeed, the look is more than 3,000 years old.  The ancient Egyptians would have considered this dress rather conservative!”
The President laughed and shook his head. “Okay, Oleg, you win,” he said. :)

While visiting her sister, Lee and her husband in London, Jackie wore this black sheath, cut out at the back and banded with a little bow across the middle.

This is one of my most favourite dresses that Jackie had from designer Oleg Cassini.  I wish that I had a better photo of it, but you get the general idea.  It’s so sexy and chic while still being playful and innocent. Best little black dress I’ve ever seen! ;)

Jackie wore a short, festive dress that had been created specially for her trip to Mexico. The sleeveless bodice had a dropped waistline accented with her signature bow at the top of the hip. The skirt was composed of rows of silk organza and white lace.

I absolutely adore this dress and the Venetian blue colour used for the top. I also love those white pumps that almost create an illusion of sling-backs. :)
